Gladwyne Library League
The Gladwyne Library League was formed to foster closer relations between the Gladwyne Free Library and the residents of Gladwyne. The League's mission is to promote knowledge of the functions, services, resources and needs of the library and to participate in the development of programs that will enhance and improve those resources and services.
The League Board averages approximately 50 active members who are responsible for developing, organizing and running the various programs, activities and fundraising events which the League sponsors throughout the year.
There are three annual fundraising events:
- Annual Membership Drive (September)
- Cocktail Party (Spring)
- Plant Sale (May)
The League also sponsors the following activities:
- Junior Author Contest
- Annual Arts and Crafts Show
- Memorial Day Parade and Block Party
- Fall Get-Together
- Walk Through Historic Gladwyne
- Annual Book Review Meeting
- Other special programs
