Lower Merion Library System Launches Automated Telephone Notification System

Starting on Thursday, November 6, 2008, the Lower Merion Library System (LMLS) will begin using an automated telephone system to notify patrons about their library material. The automated telephone system, which is a product of Polaris Library Systems, will instantly notify patrons by telephone when an item which has been placed on reserve becomes available, and also when library material becomes overdue.
