Catch the Reading Bug at Lower Merion Libraries!

Catch the Reading Bug!
Special Summer Reading Programs for All Ages

Posted Date: 6/16/2008 1:08 PM

The Lower Merion Library System (LMLS) offers summer programs for preschool and elementary school children, teens and adults. These read-at-home programs foster the love of reading, and incentive prizes and raffles offer extra fun and motivation. For 2008, the children’s theme is “Catch the Reading Bug” and the teen theme is “Metamorphosis.” Participants can register in person at any Lower Merion Library or register online at www.lmls.org for these programs as well as the Adult Summer Reading Club.

For those who are going away this summer, LMLS in conjunction with the Montgomery County Library District is offering new software by Evanced Solutions. This program, available here, enables users to log their reading options from the comfort of their home or from any vacation location with internet access.

Upcoming summer library programs include:

June 16th— “Winterthur Goes Buggy” at Penn Wynne Library

June 18th—“Do You Know Your Bugs” at Ardmore Library

June 19th—“Bug Magic” at Ludington Library

June 19th—Ant Noteholder Craft at Belmont Hills Library

June 23rd—Pajama Story Time at the Bala Cynwyd Library

June 24th—Safari Party at Gladwyne Library

Two Adult Book Discussion Groups are also scheduled: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn on June 26th at Penn Wynne Library and Suite Française at Bala Cynwyd Library on July 31st. Stop by the library or visit our events page for a complete list of summer programs throughout all six Lower Merion Libraries.
