JULY 6, 2016 – Summer brings thoughts of relaxing at the beach or sitting on the porch with a glass of lemonade. Hopefully a good book is part of the mix. This year’s Summer Reading Club’s  Read-to-Me program is for babies, toddlers and preschool age children, and encourages daily reading. The On Your Mark, Get Set, Read program for children finishing 1st through 5th grades emphasizes time spent reading. Tweens and teens can join the Get in the Game Young Adult Program which, along with the Exercise Your Mind—Read Adult Summer Reading Club, runs concurrently with the children’s program, so the whole family can participate. Prizes will be awarded throughout the summer. Registration begins June 20. Sign up, then get back to daydreaming about the beach. Summer Reading Clubs end at most libraries in mid-August. Visit our Summer Reading web page for more info on prizes & programs for all ages. Or call your local library.
